Terms & Conditions

Programs and Services prices:

  • All rates are quoted in US dollars and Soles, and include all applicable taxes for foreign tourists and Peruvians non-residents in Peru.

Bookings and Deposits:

  • The system will only process bookings received at least 2 days prior to the start date of tourism service required.
  • To confirm your reservation, we must have received your payment for services or the security deposit.  
  • Payments and deposits must be made through our online system.   
  • The charges on your credit card will be made after confirming the availability of all services requested.
  • Transaction Fee: All online bookings are subject to a non-refundable fee of US$ 9.50.  
  • Referential exchange rate is S/. 3.00  Soles.

Bookings for Tour Packages / Tours:

  • Confirmation of the reservation requested, will be informed through email, indicating the booking code of each requested travel program.
  • Confirmation of the reservation proceed after receiving your booking online, or received a security deposit.  
  • The security deposit is a payment on account of the total value of the program, and is the sum of US$ 100 per person.   This deposit is not refundable in case of cancellation.   
  • The total payment for packages / tours must be made 60 days before the date fixed as the beginning of the travel program.   

    Penalties:
     
  • The unused portions of package, by the decision of the passenger, will not be refundable once the package is being used.   
  • Passengers who cancel the tour, before 60 days of start date, will be penalized with US$ 100 of the non-refundable deposit plus US$ 25 of administrative expenses.  
  • Passengers who cancel the tour, between 59 and 30 days of tour start date, will be penalized with 50% of the program, plus US$ 25 of administrative expenses.  
  • Passengers who cancel the tour, between 29 and 16 days before start date, will be penalized with 75% of the program, plus US$ 25 of administrative expenses.  
  • Passengers who cancel the tour, 15 days or less prior to the start date, will be penalized with 100% of the program.   

Documentation:

  • Customers must carry a valid Passport or travel document according to their nationality, in accordance with the required legal standards in Peru.

Urgent cancellations:

  • In case of urgent last-minute cancellations or additional information, please contact Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge at any of the following numbers:

Luggage:

  • It is recommended not to carry luggage exceeding 15 Kg.  per person for the tours in Pacaya Samiria, excess baggage may be deposited at our offices in Iquitos.
  • Luggage responsibility corresponds to their owners, except luggage with insurance.
  • Small items, such as camcorders or cameras, binoculars, bags, umbrellas, etc. will be completely under the care and responsibility of their owners, and should be insured.   
  • It is recommended that all luggage, is properly secured and have personal identification card.  

Meals:

  • Travel programs include meals that are specified in the program schedule.  These are indicated by  (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner).
  • All other meals are the responsibility of the passenger.

The obligation:

  • The liability for services not provided due to the negligence of Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge or our staff, is limited to current cost of the omitted services and excludes all the consequences or resulting  indirect costs.
  • In this possible case,  Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge will do its best to provide alternative arrangements of equal value, subject to availability.  

Reimbursement Package /Tour or Accommodation Execution: If for any reason within our control,  Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge fails to provide any service, hotel, meal, or transportation noted in our travel programs, an appropriate refund will be issued within 30 days, after the customer submits his application or written authorization from our representatives.   

  • Refunds or rebates, for cancellations requested by the passenger, will be made within 30 business days, after receiving the request of the passenger.   
  • No claim may be considered if made after 60 days of the end of the package or tour. 

Responsibility and  Obligation:

  • Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge, when providing these travel programs, is responsible before the package / tour participants, to provide the services and accommodations offered as are declared in the program schedule and published on our Website.   
  • Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge will  have no responsibility, for the non provision of the services offered in case of bad weather or natural disasters that cannot be predicted.   
  • Travel Programs - Tours: If the means of transportation (plane, train, bus) chosen by the passenger, doesn’t arrive at the scheduled date and time to destination, where the travel program or tour starts booked by the passenger,  Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge, will have no responsibility for the non provision of the reserved services.  The tour operator will only provide the service from the portion that corresponds, since the arrival of the passenger. The portion of the program that is not made, is not refundable.
  • Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge, will have no obligation for loss, damage or injury sustained in connection with the services and accommodations provided by railroads, bus operators, local tour companies, tour operators, steamship companies, airlines, hotels and media hosting, and all operating under the laws of the country in which these services are provided.  
  • Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge reserves the right to alter any program from the package / tour.
